Career Change or Not - That is The Question...
Thinking about a career change? Want to know if it’s the right thing to do? Thankfully it’s not really that hard to figure out.
Well, before you start researching the best type of career change cover letter, or the best career change resume, you want to make sure you focus on going after the ideal career for you. If you don’t, you may find yourself looking for a different job again in the not too distant future.
Just like there are signs you’re going the wrong way on a way way street, there are sure signs you’re going the wrong way in your work life. Deep down you already know if you’re on the wrong career road, but maybe you want something more than a pure gut feeling.
Read the signs below. You know it’s time for you to change jobs when...
1. You have to almost force yourself to go to work every day. When you find the right job you’ll be excited to go to wrk every day.
2. You don’t have any goals or dreams related to your job. When you are in the right career, you’ll dream, grow, advance, and prosper.
3. You complain about (or to) coworkers more often than not. When you have the right job you’ll like and respect the people you work with.
4. You constantly procrastinate and put things off. In the right career for you, you’ll love diving right in because you are doing what you enjoy.
5. You are aggravated and agitated easily, even over little things. In your ideal career you’ll be happier and more pleasant because your work is fun, meaningful, and worthwhile.
Do any of these signs sound familiar? If so, maybe you’ve convinced yourself to settle for an unhappy, non-fulfilling, meaningless job! Now why would you do that? Maybe because that’s what everyone else does? Right?
The truth is, yes, that’s what unsuccessful people settle for. What I mean is, no matter how much a person makes, or how successful they appear on the outside, they are unsuccessful in their work if they aren’t doing what they are designed to do. Everyone has talents, abilities, skills, and interests for a reason. I maintain that they wouldn’t have them if they weren’t meant to put them to good use!
So, does any of this article ring true for you? Whether you’re having a mid life career change crisis, or you’re just tired of doing what you’re doing and your ready for something better. You’re probably ready for the best career change advice I can give you. And that is this...
